Special Volvo V90 Cross Country wagons built to help the environment

The Volvo Ocean Race happens once every three years and measures the ocean health to more accurately predict weather forecasts. Yacht's race each other equipped with sensors to measure carbon dioxide levels, algae populations and the impact of public waste on aquatic life.

To help fund the environmental effort, Volvo Cars will build 3,000 special V90 Cross Country luxury wagons and donate a portion of the proceeds. For each of the 2018 V90 Cross Country Ocean Race Edition's sold, Volvo will donate $117 to the Ocean Race Science Program with a total planned donation of $350,000.

The special V90's will have custom wheels and a Crystal White exterior with bright orange and matte grey accents. The interior carpet is made from recycled nylon and fishing nets.
